Base Location: Glasgow – (Whilst this role is hybrid, you will be required to travel to KPMG offices and some events around the country – this will require overnight stays during campaign time and on an ad-hoc basis throughout the year)

This role supports the student recruitment team through outreach and attraction activities from initial planning to delivery of virtual, in office, school, college and on-campus events. The Officer role plays a key part in a team that is dedicated to ensuring KPMG’s student recruitment programmes have a strong profile at target universities, schools and colleges and its recruitment process is leading within its industry. The Officer will work closely with Officers and Coordinators in order to provide an efficient, high quality, client focused service for candidates and the business alike.
What will you be doing?
- Support the delivery of key outreach work streams including Student Ambassadors, Society sponsorships, KPMG Innovation Case Challenge, KPMG-led events, external events and sourcing event volunteers.
- Assist with planning campus activity and arranging how the Student Recruitment team will deliver this.
- Implement an internal communication strategy to inform the internal audience about recruitment outreach activity.
- Establishing and developing best in class content to use virtually, on campus and in schools and colleges including presentations, communications, and events materials.
- Working with the Brand & Attraction team to ensure digital attraction activity is aligned to outreach activity.
- Produce and implement campus, school and college marketing plans for KPMG's target universities, schools and colleges.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with campus contacts, including careers services and societies, and school and college careers advisors.
- Plan, promote and implement virtual, on-campus, school and college campaigns and activity with given target universities, schools and colleges.
- Liaise with event volunteers to deliver full briefings prior to each event.
- Organise, promote and deliver events as required virtually and at target universities, schools and colleges.
- Build relationships with/respond to ad-hoc queries from KPMG colleagues.
- Collating national reporting on outreach activity to inform future activity and provide business management information.
- Build and maintain relationships with external organisations who help the student recruitment team with their Inclusion, Diversity and Equity targets.
What will you need to do it?
- Experience of working within student recruitment/early careers or working with students.
- Event management experience is desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the student recruitment marketplace.
- Passionate about Student Recruitment and creating a positive candidate experience
- Drive and commitment to improving Diversity, Inclusion and Equity in professional services.
- A confident and engaging presenter.
- Strong IT skills notably Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, being able to independently manage their own workload and responsibilities whilst recognising when to escalate concerns.
- Flexibility to work within a fast-paced environment, being able to adapt to change quickly and positively.
- Forward thinking and proactive approach.
- Team player with a willingness to support others when their workload is reaching capacity.
- Comfortable operating in a virtual environment.
