HGV Class 2 Driver

Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are excited to now be offering a temp-perm opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver with our client in Bournemouth. 

*You will receive a £100 Bonus for the first 20 shifts that you complete with Driver Hire.*

As part of this role, you will be responsible for completing Dray deliveries in a HGV Class 2 vehicle. As this is a drayman job, physical fitness will be crucial for this role and there is a lot of heavy lifting involved!

Position: HGV Class 2 Driver

Days: Monday-Friday

Start time: 07:00 AM

Start date: ASAP

Location: Bournemouth

Pay Rate: £16.25 (basic) – £18.21 (nights) – £20.17 (weekends). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.

As a HGV Driver you MUST have:

  • a valid UK Class 2 HGV driving licence
  • a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience
  • a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
  • your own transport to get to and from work
  • no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)

    • As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:

  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
  • Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
