HGV Class 2 Driver – Days
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, Birmingham, West Midlands .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, ongoing work, and the potential to progress within a leading logistics business.
Shifts:  • Monday to Friday  • Start times between 03:00 and 06:00
Rates of Pay:  • £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:  • Carry out store deliveries involving some handball  • Operate and drive Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery points  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections  • Ensure all loads are secured safely and correctly  • Adhere to UK traffic laws and regulations at all times  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly  • Assist with loading and unloading using electric or manual pump trucks  • Operate tail lift equipment safely  • Typically one trip per shift with 7–8 deliveries or collections
Essential Skills:  • Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence  • Minimum of 24 months' experience driving Category C vehicles  • Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card  • No more than six points for minor offences (no major endorsements)  • Good understanding of UK road transport regulations  • Strong punctuality and timekeeping  • Ability to communicate clearly and work independently
Desirable Experience:  • Previous experience in multi-drop deliveries  • Experience operating commercial vehicles
Training Provided:  • Full industry-related training provided around company processes and procedures  • Ongoing support and refresher training available throughout employment
