Role Overview

Kennedys is looking for an Events Assistant to join our Business Development team in London. The successful candidate will support the Events team in producing high‑quality events that advance the firm’s global growth ambitions and business development objectives, primarily in an administrative capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Events team across a range of operational tasks related to scheduling, planning, delivering and analysing the effectiveness of client events.
  • Assist the Events Manager with the implementation and launch of a new events platform.
  • Manage stock of the UK’s branded merchandise, liaising with the Brand and Design team to ensure items are ordered within firm guidelines.
  • Facilitate smaller client events (circa 50 attendees) by drafting communication materials, compiling highly targeted client lists, managing on‑site support, and collating event evaluation reports for follow‑up with Clients and Marketing teams.
  • Provide technical assistance and backup on webinars, serving as the second presenter, resolving technical issues, and addressing attendee concerns.
  • Liaise with BD members, lawyers, partners, facilities management, reception, catering, print room and external venues to ensure events are booked and delivered to the highest standard of quality.
  • Work with the Events team to create bespoke, targeted event lists for each event, researching targets and working closely with secretaries to promote the use of the firm’s InterAction CRM system.

Required Experience

  • Good attention to detail and strong writing skills.
  • Organised, methodical and professional in presentation and manner at all times.
  • Calm under pressure and capable of operating to tight deadlines.
  • Good IT skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable with change.
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic attitude and commitment to Kennedys’ profitable growth.
  • Adherence to Kennedys’ core values through working relationships, attitude and behaviour.
  • Professional services experience is an advantage; experience of e‑marketing and CRM systems (InterAction and Vuture Vx) is desirable.
