Position Overview

Role: Clinical Service Manager – Children's Services (Surgical, Health Visiting, School Nursing, EVT & FNP). Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

Band: 8B | Employment type: Full-time | Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Lead and manage clinical services for children across surgical, health visiting, school nursing, early years and family nurse practitioner teams.
• Ensure compliance with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and hold current membership for the appropriate regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not, disclosure to Disclosure Scotland will be required prior to appointment.
• Coordinate with NHS Scotland Boards and the Recruitment Team to meet statutory work‑right checks, including the possibility of a different level of criminal records check effective 1 April 2025 if the role is classified as a regulated role.
• Implement best practice and provide support for disabled candidates, candidates with long‑term conditions or who are neurodivergent, with reasonable adjustments to recruitment policy and practices.
