The UK Student Recruitment team, within the University’s External Relations division, is responsible for attracting applications to Lancaster University from across the UK for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Student Recruitment Officer to develop and maintain face-to-face engagement initiatives with schools and colleges, promoting the University and higher education to prospective students across the UK.

This is a regionally based role, focusing on increasing applications from target schools in London and the Southwest.

The successful candidate will work with a team of remotely located UK Student Recruitment Officers and the UK Regional Recruitment Manager to deliver virtual and face-to-face activities for prospective students, parents, carers, and teachers, as well as developing new recruitment initiatives and evaluating their impact.

This position requires extensive travel within London and the Southwest, visiting schools and colleges, attending events, outside office hours, and occasionally on weekends.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Internal candidates must be willing to relocate to the target regions.

Applicants must reside in or near London or the Southwest and be willing to travel. The role is remote with regular trips to Lancaster.

We encourage applications from black and minority ethnic candidates to promote diversity.

The role requires an enhanced DBS check with barred list. Successful candidates will need to complete this as part of the recruitment process, with offers contingent on a satisfactory check.
