HGV Class 2 Driver – Alfreton People Solutions are currently recruiting for an

HGV Class 2 Driver

to join our well-established client based in

Alfreton, Derbyshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for development and progression within a respected and supportive business. Shifts Monday to Friday: Start times between 05:00 and 06:00

Occasional night shifts may be required

Rates of Pay £16.90 per hour PAYE

£24.90 after 42 hours

£25.70 Weekends & Bank Holidays

Permanent positions available for suitable candidates

Day-to-Day Duties Complete cage deliveries to hospital trusts, GP surgeries, and care homes (including tail lift deliveries)

Carry out up to 3 trips per day depending on volume

Collect empty cages from every delivery point (some load shifting required en route)

Operate temperature-controlled vehicles and follow rules on alarms and temperature ticket printing (training provided)

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and driving regulations at all times

Attend a company assessment and induction prior to starting

Operate modern vehicles (predominantly 21/71 plate)

Drive a mixture of 18t, 14t, and occasional 5t vehicles

Essential Skills Valid HGV Class 2 Licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience

Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

Maximum of six penalty points (no major endorsements)

Excellent communication skills and professional attitude

Willing to undertake a DBS check

Reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious

Desirable Experience At least 2 years of Class 2 HGV driving experience

Training Provided Must pass a 1-hour company assessment

2-day paid induction

Ongoing training and shadow shifts provided during your first week
