Events Assistant

1 Days Old

Paul McFadden Wealth is looking to recruit an Events Assistant to join their team.

You will work as part of our Events/Admin team supporting them to deliver first-class service to our clients.

This is a varied role where no two days would be the same. One day you could be at one of our events supporting our clients, the next you could be working in the office carrying out events‑related administrative tasks. We run events almost weekly, these are normally in‑house, however, we do also hold external events and travel for events on occasion too.

Event and admin tasks include:

  • Setting up for the event prior to the day
  • Checking guests in
  • Hospitality and catering tasks
  • Supporting the events
  • Ensuring our catering area is kept clean and topped up
  • Ordering event related stock
  • Liaising with our suppliers
  • Supporting any needs of the training team at the event
  • At external events, you would be required to liaise with the events team to ensure the event is set up correctly and all the needs of the training team are met
  • Administrative duties relating to our clients and events when there are no events running including making phone calls, answering emails, booking clients on to events, creating certificates and nametags, ordering stock and raising invoices.

Working Hours

The core working hours will be 9‑5 Monday to Friday.

On event days you may be required to work outside of these core hours. There are also opportunities for overtime or time back in lieu.

The earliest start for any shift is 7 am, and occasional later finishes of 7 pm would be required. The ability to be flexible and available for weekend, early and late shifts is required.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working in an Events or Admin setting is desirable, however, full training will be given. It would be beneficial to the role if you were a driver and had access to a car however this is not essential.

Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise own workload.

Salary and Start Date

Salary starting at £21,000 per annum. We are considering full‑time and part‑time applicants; salary would be pro‑rata for hours worked.

Interviews will take place in the coming weeks. Ideally we would be looking for the candidate to start in January 2026.
