Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) – Permanent
Location: Brighton (remote)
Salary: £23,400 per annum
The Central Student Services Officer’s role is to provide high-level administrative and operational support to students and Study Group’s network of study centres, ensuring effective functioning.
This requires good interpersonal skills and strong administrative abilities. The post holder will handle routine enquiries from students, agents, and parents, provide accurate information, and become proficient in using internal student records systems. They will ensure accurate data recording for student records.
About the Role:
- Serve as the primary contact point for support across a group of centres, responding to enquiries within SLAs.
- Maintain strong relationships with accommodation providers to ensure smooth operations and excellent student experience.
- Handle pre-arrival queries, assist with airport transfers, insurance, and other services.
- Encourage student engagement in pre-arrival activities.
- Participate in on-call rotations during peak arrival periods (September and January).
- Deliver high customer service standards, resolving issues independently.
- Keep student records accurate and up-to-date using call logging trackers.
- Follow administrative processes related to bookings, debt management, and financial adjustments.
- Document transactional work within case management systems.
- Collaborate with campus staff to identify needs and provide support.
- Act as the first contact for accommodation providers regarding student behaviour and debt issues.
- Respond to student emails, providing travel advice, issuing letters, supporting late arrivals, and updating student information systems.
- Assist colleagues with contacting absent students and informing parents or agents when necessary.
- Work as part of a team to ensure timely and professional communication with external stakeholders.
- Participate in training events and support other Education & Student Experience team members.
- Provide general administrative support and cover duties as needed.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Central Student Services Manager.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting students in an educational setting.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Customer service experience.
